Taking its name from the Latin for “through endeavour”, Per Ardua is our latest venture; a release series that’s focussed on D&B’s path less trodden. Exploring unique sonic soundscapes and experiences, it is a highly curated concept aimed at looking a bit further than the dancefloor.
The first in the series is a single that draws from an international pool of talent. The A side, Stuck On You, features the prodigious talents of Romania’s Brusten and his brother in arms and fellow RomanianDYL. Both notable artists in their own right, the two have worked together here to deliver a track that’s as dark as a moonless night but still has the motive force of a falling star. Arch and unstoppable, it’s a veritable weapon.
Speaking of weapons, the B side is a remix by none other than Canadian and halftime scene stalwart; Homemade Weapons. His remix is quite the diversion, both from the original mix, and from his own work. It’s almost a roller, if rollers were harsh, atonal and downright threatening. Almost unlike anything he’s released before, it’s both a curio and confirmed DJ tool, having received early support from the likes of Presha, The Untouchables and more.
It’s taken us more than a year to get Per Ardua I ready for the world, and we sincerely hope you enjoy it.
